To me, painting is a meditative process. I love being alone in my studio, listening to music, and exploring paint and color.

I studied art at Pepperdine University and DePauw University and graduated from DePauw with a BA in Studio Art with an emphasis in oil painting. My first real art job was painting photography backdrops (in a barn on a farm!) during summer breaks of college. After college, I worked as a graphic and web designer in the media production and communications industry in Indianapolis before working for my family's four generation ribbon and bow manufacturing company. With the sale of the business and move to Seattle in 2014, I decided to get back into art.

After 1 1/2 years with Gray Sky Gallery, I opened Westerly Studio in 2017 with another artist friend. Westerly Studio is located in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood. I teach and make art out of our gallery and studio. Please stop by if you're in the area!
